Filipino-American, born and raised in Los Angeles proper, Virgil was first published in 2008, a short story titled "L.A. Accent" about a drifter who meets his idol after hours on the streets of Los Angeles. He earned his degree from Cal Poly Humboldt.Â
In 2014, Virgil wrote and directed "Pretty Vacant," a short film about a talented but fearful musician who takes a fast track to self-destruction in Los Angeles after hours and ultimately loses all inhibitions. He worked as an actor and recorded with the band Hnywell as their guitarist and backup vocalist before publishing his first novel Between Us & Them in 2020.
Virgil enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and visiting with friends on the weekends. But his favorite pastime is eating pizza and drinking soda, binge-watching classic movies or old WWE matches from the 1980s.
